MISTY DESIGN 4. 

USABILITY & FEATURES.

We freely, and publicly,list our design notes for Misty of Gosford in the hope they might be of some assistance to anyone on a similar journey.

GALLEY






·       Two burner stainless steel “Broadwater” Marine LPG Gas stove with lockable gimbal & oven.


·       There is storage under & crockery storage above.





   ·       Compact, High efficiency,
·       Custom built,
·       Top opening,
·       “Danfoss” 12V Fridge & Freezer.
(Stainless steel evaporator plate) 
   

·       Four large lockable Galley Utensil and Food storage drawers adjacent to and under nav station.


COCKPIT


Cockpit Center Steering Pedestal/Console including:-
    -  “Hi-Drive” Hydraulic steering.
    - All Engine Controls.
    - Anchor Winch electric controls.
   -  “Coursmaster” Autopilot.


   -  “Danforth....”  Compass.

-  Robust  stainless steel Safety Grab        Handles

- “Lowrance” GPS Chart Plotter/Fish Finder.




·        Cockpit  LPG Gas Bottle Locker in cockpit port seat for 4x 3kg gas bottles (with bottle restraints).

·       Three lockable general storage cockpit seat lockers.

·       Cockpit controlled sails.


AFT DECK


·       Purpose designed unencumbered clear flat area suitable for just lounging, sunbaking or fishing.
·       This flat deck area incorporates a Lazarette and a Live Bait Tank/Storage both with Flush Fitted Hatches.

·       A Stern opening gate is also fitted here for stern boarding.

·       The aft deck safety rails are fitted with several heavy duty fishing rod holders and there is also a 5 rod overhead rod rack mounted above the cockpit soft top.



GROUND TACKLE & HANDELLING


·       Heavy Duty 700kg “Muir Cheetah” Electric Rope/Chain Anchor Winch (Also with Cockpit Controls) with 65 metres of 8mm chain and 100 metres 12mm Nylon rope/rode.




·       Custom “Rocker Roller” provides Automatic anchor Righting and Locking at retrieval.


DEEP–SEA LADDER


·       Permanent 3 stage fold down, rigid,  stainless steel   Swim/Deep-sea/Safety Reboarding Ladder.

·       When the ladder is deployed the bottom step is a useful 80cm (2’6”) under water for easy boarding.

 ·       This ladder is incorporated in Stainless steel Safety Rail structure and all step surfaces are of a comfortable flat 50mm (2”) width.

·       This ladder can be deployed routinely when leaving the vessel by dingy for a guaranteed easy reboarding method in case of misadventure.




BOW BOARDING


Drop down auto self-locking stainless steel bowsprit  provides a bow-step for easy boarding when moored bow-in to the wharf.


 




TWO SEATER DINETTE
·                   4” Foam Cushions with Raised dinette floor level provides direct viewing through dinette opening ports to outside when seated.

·                   Storage in dinette seats.

·                   Large storage lockers under dinette floor but above cabin sole.



NAV STATION


During Construction

 In the Dividing Wall between the Saloon Lounge and Galley, this area will take full-size Charts and will safely accommodate the portable companionway security screen door when not in use.
